Working Here

We offer a range of staff benefits including flexible working and excellent training and career development opportunities.

Supervision and support

We offer regular supervision, along with a yearly appraisal, where you will receive one-to-one support from a dedicated supervisor who will provide guidance, motivation and clinical support. Through supervision and appraisal, we will create a personalised development plan to help you fulfil your potential.

Further Professional Training

Whenever you're looking to gain functional skills or a degree, EPUT can support you in gaining the relevant qualifications you need to achieve your ambitions.

If you already have a Bachelor's degree you can apply to study towards a Master's Degree. EPUT could pay for the degree entirely if it is directly linked to your role, or cover up to 75% of the fees for other courses.

Flexible working is a vital part of improving working lives and has a demonstrable impact on recruitment, retention and return to work.

The Trust has developed flexible working in line with the needs of our employees. Through this, flexible working arrangements are introduced that are innovative and diverse, but which reflect the needs of the individual whilst continuing to meet the needs of the service. Read more about it here.

We offer a number of development pathways both clinical and non-clinical. The clinical pathways include a fully supported pathway to Nursing and Occupational Therapy (OT) and excitingly we are currently developing pathways for further Allied Health Professionals such as Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) and Physiotherapy.

Read more about it here.

Whilst we strive to recruit and retain a high skilled workforce we recognise that our bank workers also provide a high standard quality care to patients alongside our substantive staff.

Working on the EPUT bank allows you to gain experience and skills whilst also having the flexibility to work the shifts and placements that fit around you and your commitments. Find more about it here

You can find all our vacancies on our Trac page.

You can also speak to our recruitment team on 01375 364513.

We are supporting Step into Health, a nationwide campaign which supports the Armed Forces community to provide career development and opportunities within our NHS Trust.

The programme was developed in conjunction with The Royal Foundation and Walking With The Wounded. Step into Health provides a dedicated pathway for the Armed Forces community to access the numerous career opportunities available in the NHS.

The programme is open to all service leavers and veterans and their spouses and partners.

Each year we ask our staff to tell us what it is like to work at our Trust, through the NHS Staff Survey. You can read our latest report from the 2020 staff survey.
